Minis (Under 6 to Under 9)

Join the Wahroonga Tigers Minis Program!

Minis teams (U6-U9) start with ‘tag’ rugby in U6 and U7, transitioning to tackle rugby in U8 as they develop skills. There are no competition ladders or team grading in Minis rugby – it’s all about having fun and skill development. Training is on Friday afternoons with games held on Saturday mornings. Games are usually on the North Shore with the occasional gala day played slightly further afield!

Boys and girls can start playing rugby as soon as they turn 4 in our under 6 age group. It is a perfect opportunity to bring along a friend - or even an entire team! Playing with friends make the experience even more enjoyable.  After registering, please email any team placement requests to the VP Minis.  While we cannot guarantee all requests we do our best to place children with friends. To make team organising as smooth as possible we encourage friends to come to our come and try rugby events and then register around the same time.

We have several teams in each minis age group and are always excited to welcome new players.

Focus on Fun!

The Minis program prioritises having fun on and off the field. Throughout the year we host a variety of special events like:

• Family Fun Days
• Olympic-Themed Training Sessions
• Rugby Tours (eg our popular trip to Mudgee)
