Wahroonga Tigers – Developing Great Kids Through Rugby

Wet Weather Policy

OUR GOAL is always to get the kids on the field, however we have to balance this with player safety and damage to the ground.

ALWAYS assume training and/or matches are proceeding regardless of the weather OR Council’s ground availability, until otherwise advised by a Club Official.

WET WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENTS will be communicated on the front page of this website, via our public FaceBook page and shared to our Members’ FaceBook page. Once teams are formed each team manager will also distribute and confirm cancellations directly via TeamSnap.

THE CLUB will make a call on CANCELLING no earlier than 3pm on the afternoon of training and the day prior to games. For example, Friday night training and Saturday games will be confirmed no earlier than 3pm Friday.

Whilst COUNCIL normally updates their website regarding the status of fields throughout the municipality in the AM of the day in question, WRC HAS DISCRETION to open Cliff Oval anyway. Council's website is a guide, not a definite decision.

On game day, if Cliff Oval is closed this DOES NOT MEAN ALL OTHER GROUNDS WILL BE CLOSED as ground conditions vary and many opponents’ grounds are in different Council areas. For away grounds, look to your team manger for direction.

FINALLY – don’t stress and please be PATIENT. The weather has not gone unnoticed 🙂
